📸 FAQ – Based on Real Client Experiences
Q: My makeup artist is coming at 9 a.m., but the photographer is only arriving at 11 a.m. Isn’t that too late? Won’t we miss the makeup shots?
A (Photographer):
This is something we get asked often. We typically arrive around 11 a.m. when the ceremony is at 3 p.m. That’s because our goal is to capture you at your best – when your makeup is almost done or being finalized. We also ask the makeup artist (if she’s available) to do a light touch-up for photos. Filming the first stages of makeup – with half-done foundation and hair rollers – doesn’t usually produce the most flattering visuals, and most brides prefer we skip that. We also follow a pre-agreed schedule with you, and we can’t work around third-party timelines, as this could jeopardize the rest of the day’s coverage. If there are delays due to makeup, we may miss suggested shots and cannot be held responsible.
Q: On the wedding day, will you be interrupting us constantly to pose for photos? I want things to feel natural.
A (Photographer):
That depends on your ceremony type. For Indian and Muslim weddings, we have more freedom to move around and might guide you for a few poses without disrupting the flow. But during Catholic ceremonies, the officiants often restrict movement completely. In such cases, we switch to a documentary approach. If we can’t move or are limited, the result will be less dynamic – and as outlined in our terms, we can’t be held responsible for the lack of creative angles in those moments.
Q: We have a beloved pet and some personal items we’d really like included in the photos. Will you capture those?
A (Photographer):
We love personal touches – but our focus is on documenting anything directly connected to the bride and groom. That said, if your pet, home decor, or special items are part of your prep or emotional story, we might include them. Just know that it’s entirely at our discretion unless otherwise agreed in advance.
Q: My uncle was supposed to light firecrackers during our exit, but you refused to capture that moment. Why?
A (Photographer):
We completely understand the desire for dramatic exits, but our top priority is safety. Firecrackers, lasers, and even rain can severely damage our equipment or injure our team. Our team is instructed to avoid any risky situations. This also applies to drones and other gear, as outlined in our terms.
Q: During the fleur d’oranger, I noticed the photographer team rushed off to the church and didn’t capture my full exit. Why?
A (Photographer):
We follow a pre-agreed schedule from morning to reception. If timing gets tight and there’s a risk we’ll miss the ceremony setup, we’ll prioritize being at the church at least 5 minutes before the bride to prepare gear (tripods, mics, etc.). Priests often don’t wait and start immediately – we need to be ready. If the timing isn’t followed as agreed, and we’re asked to stay longer at home, we may miss key ceremony moments – and can’t be held responsible for that.
Q: We had two teams in the morning but just one photographer and videographer later. Didn’t I pay for full-day coverage for both teams?
A (Photographer):
Morning split teams apply only when preparations or ceremonies happen at distant locations or in dual traditions (e.g., Geet Gawai on both sides). For Catholic weddings, we usually streamline coverage after the ceremony with one photographer and one videographer. This is detailed in our terms and is subject to our discretion.
Q: During the ceremony, I noticed you asking guests to move or stop filming with their phones. Why interfere?
A (Photographer):
We only intervene when guest movement or phone use risks ruining key shots – like aisle walks or first kisses. Our team often walks backward with heavy gear during entrances, and blocked paths mean missed moments. We’ll politely ask guests to stay seated during these critical scenes if same is critical to prevent miss shot . If we’re told not to intervene and footage is blocked, we cannot be held responsible.
Q: I saw you weren’t filming everything – like full songs or guest shots. Will my video be a full, real-time record or just a highlight montage?
A (Photographer):
We deliver a full real-time video of key moments like the ceremony, vows, and speeches. Other parts like dancing, singing, or decor are filmed selectively to craft a story. We don’t film every minute but ensure your final video runs between 1hr and 2hr30, unless you’ve requested otherwise during booking and a customised quote issued.
Q: I gave specific instructions about how I wanted the video to be filmed, but you didn’t follow them. Why not?
A (Photographer):
We’re hired for our specific filming and editing style. While we welcome small requests, we follow a tested process to maintain consistency. Unless there’s a detailed, written agreement with clear expectations set before the shoot and quoted in a customised quote we reserve the right to follow our method.
Q: We had lots of entertainment – karaoke, games, fireworks – but only a few were fully shown. Why weren’t they all included?
A (Photographer):
We focus on the flow of the event and highlight key parts. We won’t record 3 hours of singing or all 10 animations – instead, we cover 2–3 full items and snippets of others, depending on timing and other filming needs. If moments were announced last-minute without informing us directly, we may have missed them. A detailed plan helps ensure better coverage.
Q: I want to rewatch the video with you at home and revise it. Can you come over?
A (Photographer):
We offer one round of minor edits based on a written list received within 1 month of delivery. We don’t offer in-home review sessions, and re-editing for preference-based changes isn’t included. Unless previously arranged, we won’t rework the timeline or style once the final product is delivered.
Q: Why isn’t there footage of guests eating or full shots of me greeting everyone at dinner?
A (Photographer):
Out of respect for privacy, we never film guests eating. For guest greetings, we capture highlights and some complete shots where possible. We prioritize the flow of the event over continuous guest shots.
Q: I gave you 30 songs but not all were used. I want a re-edit to include the rest.
A (Photographer):
We ask for a song list for mood reference, but the final selection and placement is left to our creative judgment unless specific instructions are given beforehand. Re-editing for music alone isn’t included unless it’s a paid add-on.
Q: The photographer asked my DJ to switch off the lasers – I paid for this light show!
A (Photographer):
Lasers can permanently damage our camera sensors, so we may ask the DJ to disable them during our shoot. If lasers are used anyway, we may stop filming, or you may be asked to sign a Rs 150,000 indemnity waiver to cover potential equipment damage. It’s a safety issue, not a preference. We totally understand that laser lights can make the party feel more exciting—but unfortunately, they are extremely dangerous for cameras.
Unlike normal lights, laser beams are very concentrated. When one of those beams hits the camera lens directly, even for a split second, it can permanently damage the internal sensor that captures your video or photos. That means parts of your image could be ruined, or in the worst case, the entire camera may need to be replaced.
Once a sensor is burned by a laser, there is no way to fix it—it’s like a scratch on your eye that never goes away. That’s why we kindly ask DJs to turn lasers off while we’re filming or shooting. It’s not just a small risk—it’s a known and serious danger that could affect the whole wedding coverage.
We’re here to make sure everything goes smoothly and safely, and we appreciate your understanding on this.
Q: My reception dance footage looks too dark – can’t you fix that?
A (Photographer):
The ambiance is controlled by the DJ, not us. Dark rooms and bright lights often affect footage. We do our best to adjust lighting within limits, but we respect DJ or family instructions if we’re told to turn lights off. We aren’t responsible for darkness or excessive RGB lighting in post.
Q: Why do my live stream and final video have the same camera angles? I paid for both!
A (Photographer):
To keep your package affordable, we use the same feed for live and final videos. Full film production with separate setups would drastically increase cost and require special venue arrangements. This dual-usage approach is standard for most weddings.
Q: Some guests weren’t shown in the video at all. Can we fix that?
A (Photographer):
Without a list of must-capture guests beyond close family, we do our best but can’t guarantee everyone will appear. Some guests may avoid cameras or be in places we can’t access. We rely on planning and communication to help with this.
Q: The video ended with people dancing. I wanted a proper closing shot, like us leaving in the car. Can that be changed?
A (Photographer):
We don’t create fictional endings. Your video ends as the event did during our service hours (typically 10 p.m.). If dancing was happening then, that’s what we show. We include a short highlight outro, but the event timeline won’t be altered unless previously arranged.
Q: I got the video link weeks ago, but the USB still isn’t here. Why the delay?
A (Photographer):
The YouTube or private cloud delivery is your official delivery. The USB is optional and subject to scheduling. Most TVs support YouTube playback, and we’re happy to assist if needed. But we don’t guarantee USB delivery on the same timeline.
Q: I asked for my revised video to be added to the USB I got, but you’re only sending it online. Why?
A (Photographer):
Re-edits are delivered online only. We don’t offer a second USB unless the error was ours. Additional physical delivery comes with extra costs not covered in your package.
Q: Months after delivery, we watched the video again with family, and they found it underwhelming. We now want the raw footage – is that possible?
A (Photographer):
We only retain raw footage for 1 month after delivery. If no issues are raised during that time, the project is closed. Raw files are not included by default but can be sold separately if requested in that period. You’ll need to provide a storage device.
Q: I asked for some changes, got my edited video, but now I want more things changed. Why am I being charged again?
A (Photographer):
Our contract includes one round of free edits for production errors – not taste or preference changes. Additional edits are subject to fees. We aim to meet expectations, but revisions beyond the agreed terms incur time and resource costs.

Definition and attributes
For the purposes of these Terms and Conditions, “the photographer(s)” shall refer to AJN PRODUCTION or, subject to the provisions of Condition 8 below, any photographers appointed by AJN PRODUCTION; additionally, “the photographer(s)” shall encompass “the videographer(s),” and “images/photographs/prints” shall include “videos,” including aerial footage obtained via drone, where applicable. “The Client(s)” shall mean the individual(s) or entity whose name appears in the relevant PHOTO/FILM CONTRACT or QUOTE. Should the Client(s) engage a third party to bear the costs of this contract, the contractual obligations shall nevertheless remain with the Client(s). The performance of the contract is expressly governed by these Conditions, which shall form the entire agreement between the parties and may not be varied or amended in any way unless such variation is expressly agreed upon in writing by the photographer(s).
1. Copyright
Under the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act, all rights to images and videos remain the exclusive property of the photographer(s) or AJN PROD. Copying, reproducing, altering, or distributing any content—physically, digitally, or by electronic means—without prior written consent is strictly prohibited. Clients (wedding or corporate) are granted a limited licence to use the final edited work (photos or video montage) as defined in their contract; by default, copyright remains with AJN PROD. Raw footage may be retained and used for promotional purposes (within ethical and moral boundaries). Exclusive rights to raw content may be purchased under a separate agreement, subject to AJN PROD’s approval. AJN PROD may apply watermarks to protect digital files and reserves the right to use selected content on social media and for marketing, unless the client opts out in writing. Use of content in AI training or third-party datasets is strictly prohibited without explicit client consent.
2. Display
By confirming a booking with AJN PROD through a downpayment, the client grants permission for AJN PROD to use any images or videos produced under this agreement for lawful promotional purposes, including but not limited to advertising, brochures, websites, social media, portfolios, sample albums, magazines, and vendor/venue showcases—provided such use does not harm the client’s reputation. Clients who wish to retain exclusive control over the display and distribution of their content may opt for an exclusivity agreement at a fee of Rs3,000. This restricts AJN PROD from using the content for promotional purposes. In such cases, the client’s use of the final content is also limited to private viewing and sharing with family and friends, in line with Section 1 (Copyright).
3. Storage and Security
Password-protected galleries or cloud links provided by AJN PROD are not publicly accessible under normal circumstances. However, once shared by the client with third parties (e.g., family or friends), AJN PROD cannot prevent unauthorized access or redistribution. The complimentary cloud service is provided for a period of one (1) year and is subject to the policies and stability of the third-party provider; AJN PROD offers no warranties regarding availability, continuity, or data retention. Clients are strongly advised to download their files promptly and treat the cloud as a secondary backup only. Once access to content is confirmed by the client, AJN PROD bears no responsibility for any subsequent loss, whether on client devices, cloud platforms, or AJN PROD’s website. Clients are solely responsible for maintaining secure backups of all delivered materials.
4. License, Coverage and Reproduction
a)
i – The Photographer(s) shall be granted full artistic licence regarding poses, composition, and location choices. The Photographer’s judgment on the number of photographs taken, as well as the selected locations and poses, shall be considered final unless otherwise specified in a written planning list provided by the client.
ii – While AJN PROD will make every effort to obtain a detailed hourly schedule from the client, we cannot be held responsible for missed moments, late arrivals, or unanticipated changes due to the absence of a written planning document prior to the event. As we offer cost-effective packages, certain logistical compromises are made, such as assigning the same team (photographer/videographer) to cover both Bride and Groom preparations—unless the locations are deemed too distant (additional charges will apply). In such cases, we strongly recommend a minimum 2-hour gap between the Bride’s and Groom’s preparation times. Failure to respect this timeline may result in missed shots, especially if overlapping preparations affect the start of the ceremony. No liability shall be accepted in these circumstances.
AJN PROD will strive to deliver coverage even in less-than-ideal conditions, including crowded venues, tight table arrangements, improper placement of key decor elements (e.g. table of honor vs. cake table), or adverse weather. However, we do not accept responsibility for coverage limitations resulting from these factors. In cases of poor weather, we may coordinate with the client to postpone the photoshoot (additional charges may apply). If the client voluntarily chooses to reschedule the wedding photoshoot (a non-redeemable option) to a different day without prior notice, the session will be treated and billed as a regular couple photoshoot at full price, with no discounts applicable.
iii – For Catholic weddings, where punctuality is critical and priests may be sensitive to delays, the ceremony will be prioritized. We reserve the right to interrupt coverage of the preparation, toast, or other segments in order to arrive at least 10 minutes early at the church to install necessary equipment (e.g. audio recorders, tripods, or lighting if the venue is dim). AJN PROD shall not be held responsible for missed shots due to delays caused by the bride, groom, extended makeup/prep time, extended photo sessions, late family members, or third-party service providers.
b) Photographs taken during the course of the event will be at the discretion of the photographer(s). However, every effort will be made to accommodate the client’s specific requests when communicated in advance.
c) The photographer(s) will endeavour to photograph all individuals requested by the client(s), but cannot be held responsible for omissions unless a specific list has been provided or clear instructions regarding key individuals were given and efforts made on the client’s side to ensure their presence.
d) For certain venues, the movement of the photographer(s) may be restricted by venue officials. In such cases, AJN PROD cannot be held liable for any obstructed views or missed shots. The use of artificial lighting is at our discretion and may be restricted or prohibited by the venue. Clients are encouraged to clarify lighting and audio policies in advance. AJN PROD does provide lighting and audio equipment when possible but without contractual obligation. Audio will be recorded independently (ambient or speaker-proximate) and not through church or venue XLR systems, to avoid technical faults or third-party interference. As such, background noise (e.g., traffic, conversation, crowd reactions) may be present. We do not guarantee perfect sound or lighting when venues are poorly equipped or when interference (e.g., random sound changes by DJs or light adjustments during dancing) occurs. While we will liaise with vendors when possible, our influence is limited to their cooperation.
Clients are advised that laser lighting, increasingly used by DJs, poses a severe risk of irreversible damage to camera sensors. In such cases, we will request that lasers be turned off during recording. If not respected, we reserve the right to stop recording. If the client insists on continuing with lasers active, an indemnity fee of up to Rs150,000 will be required in advance to cover damage to equipment (e.g., two photographer cameras and three video cameras). Note: Laser-damaged sensors are non-repairable and require full replacement.
e) Certain parts of an event may be restricted or prohibited for photography. Clients are strongly advised to confirm permissions with relevant venue officials before booking. Services may be performed by third-party professionals under AJN PROD’s direction, depending on representative availability and the client’s response time. The use of third parties shall not affect service quality. Any service-related concerns must be reported within 7 days of the event to be eligible for compensation or a re-shoot, if applicable.
f) The photographer(s) will strive to capture all key moments as they occur. However, due to the fluid nature of events and logistical limitations, some moments may be missed—especially if multiple activities happen simultaneously or if certain moments (e.g., people eating, guests outside, early preparations, food plating, etc.) are not included in the pre-agreed schedule. AJN PROD commits to capturing all essential content within the limits of the booked package and its logistical framework.
g) Any post-booking changes (e.g., date or time) requested by the client are subject to the photographer(s)’ availability. If a change cannot be accommodated due to existing commitments, AJN PROD shall not be held liable. In such cases, we may offer an alternate date or a voucher for future use. Booking fees remain non-refundable.
h) Due to variable lighting conditions and digital sensor limitations, some colour shifts may occur across images. While every effort is made in post-production to ensure colour accuracy, exact colour matching cannot be guaranteed.
i) All printed material is subject to the technical constraints of the printing process. Colour consistency may vary across sizes or separate print batches. (Applicable to contracts including a photobook or printed deliverables.)
j) Due to the limitations of monitor displays:
(1) Image colours may appear differently depending on monitor settings;
(2) Printed outputs may not exactly match how images appear on a client’s device.
k) All quoted print and presentation sizes are approximate and subject to the photographer(s)’ discretion based on composition and layout.
l) Although AJN PROD regularly inspects all equipment and maintains backup systems, no responsibility is accepted for the loss of up to 10% of raw image files due to unforeseen technical failures during capture or processing.
m) Where digital products are provided for use on personal computers, compatibility is ensured for systems running Windows 7 Home Premium by default. Compatibility with other or older operating systems is not guaranteed.
n) Where content is delivered on DVD, all reasonable steps are taken to ensure compatibility. However, older DVD players may experience playback issues.
o) Video is delivered in PAL format, standard definition, on DVD by default. Compatibility with NTSC systems or international formats is not guaranteed. High-definition delivery may be requested separately and is subject to prior written agreement.
p) AJN PROD does not provide content in 4K video resolution. Some 4K televisions may interpret standard HD footage as blurry or discoloured due to upscaling or cable incompatibility. We are not liable for any such misrepresentation. Upscaling services can be requested for an additional fee.
q) A maximum delivery storage quota of 16GB applies, which covers the average length of a complete wedding project. If this limit is exceeded, videos may be compressed non-destructively, and duplicate or near-identical photos may be excluded from delivery. Clients receive a 1-year personal cloud gallery. Additional storage may be purchased upon request.
5. Prices
a) All standard services and optional extras specified in the Booking Form and paid for in full prior to the event shall be provided at the rates applicable as of the date the booking is activated through receipt of the initial deposit. Optional services not settled in full before the event will be invoiced at the prevailing rates as of the date of order confirmation.
b) The Client shall be liable for any additional costs reasonably incurred by AJN PRODUCTION which are not explicitly included in the contractual package. This includes, but is not limited to, third-party venue charges, dispatch fees for delivery to non-Mauritian addresses, licensing fees for copyrighted music requested by the Client, performer or entrance fees, or any other cost arising outside the scope of the initial agreement.
6. Payments and Failure to Pay on Time
a) To secure services from AJN PRODUCTION, the Client must remit a non-refundable deposit amounting to 30% of the total contract value, payable via cash or online bank transfer. This deposit is deductible from the total contract price and constitutes confirmation of the booking.
b) The remaining balance of the total contract price must be settled on or before the date of the first event day, unless otherwise agreed in writing. Any additional items classified as optional add-ons will be invoiced separately and treated as additional charges. Failure to pay the balance in full by the date of the final event will be treated as a cancellation by the Client. In such a case, AJN PRODUCTION shall bear no responsibility for the safekeeping, processing, delivery, or storage of digital content recorded. Where less than 75% of the total contract value has been paid by the event date, AJN PRODUCTION reserves the right to permanently delete all content, treating the amount received solely as a reimbursement for transport and labor costs. Where at least 75% has been paid, delivery will be suspended, and a surcharge of 20% of the total contract price will be applied if the remaining balance remains unpaid five (5) days after the final event.
c) All additional products or services ordered post-event—including but not limited to extra prints, albums, special edits, high-resolution files, and gallery hosting—must be paid for in full at the time of ordering.
d) Ownership of all goods and content remains with AJN PRODUCTION until full payment has been received.
7. Complaints and Editing Requests
a) Due to the extensive volume of footage and images captured (which may amount to over 8 hours of video or thousands of photographs), technical and aesthetic errors may occasionally occur during editing. The Client is entitled to submit a written list of issues within seven (7) days of receiving the final product. Acceptable complaints must pertain to technical defects such as unreadable files, visual distortions, or audio inconsistencies. Subjective matters of taste—including, but not limited to, changes in video length, scene reordering, color grading preferences, and requests for the removal or alteration of individuals—are expressly excluded from the definition of a complaint.
Estimates of photo quantities are based on event type and structure (e.g., up to 800 photos for a Catholic wedding, 200 for a civil ceremony, and 2000 for multi-day Indian weddings), and only the best-quality images are retained. Blurry, unflattering, or poorly composed photos are systematically removed during the curation process. If the Client notices omissions, a list must be submitted in a single written communication for investigation. Late complaints will be reviewed on a best-effort basis, subject to workload and seasonal availability, and may incur additional charges if they relate to matters of preference.
b) Editing requests that fall outside the scope of acceptable complaints are at the sole discretion of AJN PRODUCTION. Approved modifications will be delivered via cloud-based platforms. If a requested change necessitates file sizes exceeding the capabilities of standard storage formats (e.g., FAT32 pendrives with a 4GB limit), AJN PRODUCTION reserves the right to deny delivery on physical media due to the required compression and quality loss.
8. Force Majeure
a) The performance of this contract is subject to postponement or cancellation due to circumstances beyond the reasonable control of AJN PRODUCTION, including but not limited to illness, accidents, acts of God, natural disasters, or legal restrictions.
b) In the event of such unavailability, AJN PRODUCTION may, but is not obligated to, appoint a qualified substitute photographer or videographer. However, no guarantee can be made regarding the availability of equivalent personnel.
c) Should AJN PRODUCTION cancel the agreement or in the event of total failure to provide services, liability will be limited strictly to a refund of any fees paid. No responsibility shall be assumed for ancillary costs or rescheduling efforts.
d) If cancellation is necessitated by natural events (e.g., cyclone, flood, government restriction), the deposit will be retained and applied to a rescheduled date. In the event of Client-requested cancellation under such conditions, all payments made except the deposit shall be refunded within 28 days or as otherwise mutually agreed. For partial postponements, a partial payment corresponding to the services rendered shall be agreed upon by both parties.
e) Delays caused by weather or the Client’s lateness may result in the omission of specific services (e.g., drone footage or gimbal shooting). These omissions shall not constitute a breach of contract. Post-wedding shoot alternatives may be offered at the discretion of AJN PRODUCTION, with any additional logistical costs borne by the Client.
f) If the Client reschedules the event, AJN PRODUCTION cannot guarantee availability on the new date. In such a case, AJN PRODUCTION may appoint a third-party contractor to fulfill the services, provided the replacement meets professional standards. For bookings made within six (6) months of the wedding, third-party personnel may be assigned without prior notice based on regional logistics.
g) If third-party suppliers are unable to deliver physical products (e.g., photobooks, canvases), AJN PRODUCTION’s liability will be limited to a refund of the specific product’s contract value after the relevant period specified in Clause 9.g.
9. Liability for Digital Files, Products, and Creative Freedom
a) Ownership of all raw footage and digital negatives remains with AJN PRODUCTION. These files are routinely deleted one (1) month following final delivery. Within this window, technical corrections (excluding matters of taste) may be requested. It is the Client’s responsibility to back up all delivered content. AJN PRODUCTION disclaims all liability for loss or damage resulting from fire, theft, device failure, or other causes. Backup storage services may be arranged at an additional fee if requested at the time of booking.
b) If raw or unprocessed files are lost or destroyed before final delivery, liability is limited to refunding the amount paid or redelivering what can be reasonably reconstructed. No refunds will be made for digital materials lost or destroyed after one (1) month from delivery.
c) Content submitted by the Client or third parties (e.g., personal videos or photos) will be included only if technically compatible and at AJN PRODUCTION’s sole discretion.
d) Any pre-paid product orders (e.g., prints, albums) must be submitted within two (2) months from the event date unless otherwise agreed in writing. Orders placed beyond this period may not be honored.
e) Standard editing is included (e.g., color correction, basic retouching). Extensive retouching requests (e.g., body reshaping, background replacement) will be quoted at Rs100 per image and are subject to the Photographer’s approval. Unless included in the service agreement, hair/makeup corrections are not guaranteed.
f) Unused credits for physical products will expire one (1) year from the wedding date unless agreed otherwise in writing. Delivery will be by post to the last known address or cloud service (e.g., Drive, Mega).
g) AJN PRODUCTION partners with third-party suppliers for physical goods. Supplier terms regarding pricing, delivery delays, and revision policies shall apply. If delays exceed six (6) months, the Client will be offered a refund or credit against future services.
h) All creative work is performed in line with AJN PRODUCTION’s artistic style and professional discretion, as reflected in their portfolio and promotional content. Requests for stylistic revisions (e.g., changes to music, timing, montage, pacing, etc.) will only be honored if formally agreed upon in writing during booking. Any post-delivery alterations based on aesthetic preference are subject to an hourly editing fee and will be scheduled according to AJN PRODUCTION’s workload.
i) The number of camera angles and operators used is determined solely by AJN PRODUCTION, unless otherwise specified in the agreement. For standard packages, coverage typically includes one (1) photographer and one (1) videographer, with an assistant assigned at AJN PRODUCTION’s discretion. Additional personnel, such as separate teams for bride/groom preparations or extended coverage, will require a customized quote.
10. Cancellation Fees
a) In the event of cancellation by the Client(s), the initial deposit—comprising up to 30% of the total contract price—shall be retained by AJN PRODUCTION as a cancellation fee. This fee reflects compensation for potential loss of business resulting from the date having been reserved and rendered unavailable to other clients.
b) Should cancellation occur on the day of the event, the Client shall be liable for all reasonable costs already incurred by AJN PRODUCTION, including but not limited to transportation, equipment rental, and meals.
c) If AJN PRODUCTION is able to rebook the cancelled date with a client of equal or greater value, the cancellation fee may, at AJN PRODUCTION’s sole discretion, be either reduced or applied as a credit toward an equivalent service offering.
11. Placing an Order and Delivery Period
a) Any changes to confirmed orders must be communicated by phone or email and confirmed in writing within three (3) working days of placing the order. AJN PRODUCTION shall not be held liable for additional costs or errors resulting from modifications received after this time.
b) The standard delivery period for final photos and videos ranges from two (2) to twelve (12) weeks. For clients ordering a photo album or full video package, a specific estimated completion timeframe will be communicated on a case-by-case basis. However, during peak production periods, particularly for video deliverables, the delivery period may extend up to four (4) to six (6) months. Clients may request express cloud delivery of a short teaser or highlight video after eight (8) weeks, free of charge.
c) Any issues relating to errors, omissions, shortages, or damage must be reported to AJN PRODUCTION by telephone or email and confirmed in writing within three (3) working days of receiving the order. Claims made outside this window may not be honored.
d) Due to the custom and perishable nature of photography and videography products, exchanges or refunds cannot be offered. This does not affect the Client’s statutory consumer rights under Mauritian law.
12. Privacy
AJN PRODUCTION may store Client information on a secure internal database for the purpose of managing bookings, communication, and delivery. This data will not be shared with third-party entities unless explicitly authorized by the Client or required by law. Clients wishing to have their personal data deleted from AJN PRODUCTION’s database must submit a written request. A written confirmation of the data removal will be provided.
13. Governing Law
Any agreement entered into between AJN PRODUCTION and the Client(s) shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Mauritius. The parties hereby agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Mauritius for the resolution of any disputes arising out of or in connection with this agreement.
14. Insurance
Clients are strongly advised to obtain a personal insurance policy to cover any financial losses, cancellations, or other unforeseen events related to the services provided by AJN PRODUCTION. AJN PRODUCTION shall not be liable for costs incurred by the Client due to cancellations, force majeure, or third-party failures beyond its control.
15. On the Day:
a) AJN PRODUCTION shall be the exclusive professional photography and/or videography provider for the event. No other professional photographers or videographers—whether officially contracted or otherwise, including those hired by friends, family, publications, or third parties—are permitted unless prior written consent is provided. We primarily adopt a candid, non-intrusive shooting style with minimal interruption, especially during religious ceremonies. We do not interfere with ceremonial elements such as décor, objects (e.g., water bottles, flowers), or ritual items. However, these may impact the aesthetic quality of the final edits, and we reserve the right to alter or omit distracting elements at our discretion without any obligation to do so. To assist with this, we encourage depersonalized setups wherever feasible to minimize post-production edits.
b) The photographer(s) is solely responsible for capturing images for the purpose of sale or gifting. No attendee, vendor, or third party may shoot images for these purposes unless agreed upon in writing prior to the event. Personal, non-commercial photography by guests is permitted. The photographer(s) reserves the right to request guests to refrain from obstructing shots. AJN PRODUCTION cannot be held responsible for any scene or moment missed due to non-compliance.
c) Video coverage may impact the range and quality of still photography. We strive to balance both to the best of our ability.
d) Disruptive attendees may hinder our ability to capture the event effectively. Where possible, we will notify the client. If the photographer(s) feels threatened or believes equipment may be at risk, coverage may be halted without notice.
e) Events exceeding five (5) hours must provide each photographer with a full guest meal. If a proper meal is not provided, or the team is served standard staff meals or denied access to drinks, the team may take a one-hour off-site meal break. AJN PRODUCTION reserves the right to invoice the client for meals and related costs as deemed appropriate.
f) We reserve the right to capture and use short-form content (“reels”) for promotional purposes, respecting client privacy and avoiding personal content unless prior consent is given. Clients who prefer not to have any content used for commercial purposes must notify us in advance. This may lead to the removal of certain complimentary services and result in price adjustments equivalent to the commercial value of the following services:
• Aerial Coverage: Rs 3,500
• Highlight Video: Rs 4,500
• Dynamic Multi-Camera Coverage: Rs 8,500
A second shooter, assistant, or BTS operator may be present depending on the event’s scale and complexity. Clients will be informed in advance of the total team size.
g) Full-day video and photography coverage refers to comprehensive event documentation, not continuous real-time recording. For technical, aesthetic, and practical reasons (e.g., storage, battery limits), repetitive or prolonged moments may be excluded. This applies especially to ceremonies involving large guest counts (e.g., Indian or Muslim weddings). Unless explicitly contracted with a guest list, we do not guarantee coverage of each attendee or ritual. Symbolic and selective coverage will be provided, with key individuals (as indicated by the client) prioritized.
h) If weather, safety, or legal restrictions prevent us from providing drone or photoshoot services on the event day, these may be rescheduled based on mutual availability. Alternatively, stock drone footage may be used to illustrate the venue and event setting. This does not constitute a breach of contract if the impossibility has been acknowledged by the client.
i) For non-wedding projects (e.g., birthdays, engagements), pricing is proportional to budget and expected content. A minimal-budget project (Rs 3,500–Rs 5,000) will receive a basic edited video lasting between 10–20 minutes, even if more footage was captured. Major elements such as speeches, cake cutting, rings, and guest shots will be prioritized. Clients wishing to receive a more comprehensive edit may opt to upgrade.
16. Package Inclusions & Exclusions:
By default, AJN PRODUCTION covers events from preparation through to the final occurrence, provided it concludes before 22:00 hrs. Additional hours will be billed at Rs 2,000 per hour per service (photo or video).
Inclusions:
• Coverage of décor, lighting, environment, and venue.
• Creative freedom across all stages of the event.
• Unlimited guest requests for photos, with no photo count cap.
• Multi-angle documentation of the ceremony, including guests, venue, and aerial views (where drone use is possible).
• Photoshoots for the couple and relatives, time permitting, within the event vicinity.
Exclusions:
• Full table-by-table footage of guests eating, or kitchen preparation of food.
• Full reception dance coverage. Selective filming will be done to reflect variety (e.g., 1–2 slow songs out of 8).
• Filming of food will be symbolic—e.g., guests being served or accessing the buffet.
These exclusions are based on our artistic direction and aesthetic considerations and aim to preserve a cinematic, non-intrusive flow.
17. Services to Third Parties and Companies:
i) Services to Third Parties:
Where AJN PRODUCTION is subcontracted by a third party (e.g., photographer, planner, DJ), our engagement will be limited strictly to execution and editing based on the third party’s brief. We are not responsible for omissions, errors, or preferences of the final client not conveyed by the third party.
In such cases:
• AJN PRODUCTION considers the third party as the primary client.
• We will not engage in direct communication with the end client regarding planning, pricing, or briefing, except for minor clarifications.
• Discounted execution rates apply due to limited involvement (e.g., Rs 8,000–Rs 15,000 for videography; Rs 3,500–Rs 4,500 for drone or second shooter coverage).
• If the third party later shifts responsibility onto AJN PRODUCTION (e.g., due to miscommunication or non-involvement), full service rates will apply, and the third party must compensate for any resulting issues.
ii) Services to Companies:
Corporate contracts (e.g., marketing content, promotional videos) are charged at standard full-service rates. These are based on:
• Exact details provided in the initial request (location, duration, participants).
• A maximum of 2–3 rounds of revision post-delivery.
• Additional charges apply for modifications (e.g., location/time changes).
Behind-the-scenes (BTS) content may be used for AJN PRODUCTION’s marketing without requiring prior permission as part of our coverage and may be shared if requested to the client.
